Moto X4, the latest handset by Motorola, owned by Lenovo, is now available for sale at the leading e-commerce site Amazon India. The smartphone was launched in India on November 2017, after it was revealed to the public at the IFA 2017. Post-launch it was sold exclusively on Flipkart. As claimed by the parent brand Lenovo, Moto X4 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 630 SoC and it is the first such handset to be available in India. The phone is dust and water repellent with an IP68 rating. It comes with a dual rear camera and front flash. The phone also boasts of Amazon Alexa support as one of its unique features and one can avail it via Amazon sale.
The Moto X4 is available in 3 variants altogether – 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6 GB RAM/64GB storage. Amazon India has listed the first two variants on its online shopping site, at least for now, while the 6GB variant is available online exclusively on Flipkart and also offline at Moto Hub stores. Moto X4 is available in two colour options – Sterling Blue and Super Black. The price for the 3GB RAM variant of the phone has been fixed at Rs. 20,999 and the 4GB RAM variant has been fixed at Rs. 22,999.
There are also several offers for the buyers of Moto X4. They can buy the handset from Amazon India on EMI with an amount starting from Rs. 1749 every month. Customers can also exchange their old handsets to avail an extra discount of Rs 2000.
The phone comes with Android 8.0 Oreo and dual Nano SIM slots. It is powered by the Snapdragon 630 SoC with clock speed up to 2.2 GHz and has 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM. It has 5.2 inch LTPS IPS display made of Corning Gorilla Glass, with 1080×1920 resolution and 420ppi pixel density.
The dual rear cameras of Moto X4 are of 12 megapixels (for the primary camera) and 8 megapixels (for the secondary camera). The primary rear camera comes with a Dual Autofocus Pixel sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, and 1.4-micron pixels and the secondary rear camera has ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree range of view, a f/2.2 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixels. It also has dual LED flash and built-in phase detection autofocus (PDAF). The front camera is of 16 megapixels with LED flash, 1-micron pixels and f/2.0 aperture. To capture low light images it has a 4 megapixels low light adaptive mode and beautification mode is also available within the camera setup.
The dimension of the handset, which weighs 163 gm is, 148.35×73.4×7.99mm. It comes with a 3000 mAh battery and 15 W Turbo Power-Charger. Other special features include Moto Display, Moto Voice, Moto Experiences and Moto Key, which is an inbuilt password manager.
Both the 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants are expandable via micro SD card, up to 2TB. There is a fingerprint sensor on the home button and apart from that, there are – accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, digital compass and proximity sensor. It also has all the standard connectivity suites and more, like – 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type C, 3.5 mm Headphone jack, NFC and FM Radio.
