  1. Use your keyboard as a trackpad

Your iPhone keyboard can be used as a trackpad. You can easily move your cursor accurately and locate the different parts of the text without tapping on the screen again and again. In order to use it, you need an iPhone which has 3D Touch capabilities. All you need to do is firmly press and hold anywhere on your keyboard in order to activate the trackpad. Now drag the finger around so as to move your cursor across the text.

  1. Hit backspace in the calculator

If you use the calculator app, you are well aware of the difficulty of typing a wrong digit and then having to start the calculation again. There is a backspace function which means you will not have to go back to the AC or C buttons every time you make a mistake. All you have to do is swipe to your right or left on the top of the screen. This motion will act as a backspace command and it will help remove the number entered last.

  1. Hide photos

We all have photos or videos that we do not want to share with our friends. Not many are aware of the fact that the iPhone has a feature which allows you to hide the personal pictures. Inside photos, you need to select the images you want to hide and then click on the button for sharing. Now click on hide. Your pictures will now not be visible from the moments and collections but you can access them through your albums screen.

  1. Receive notifications through camera flash

You can get the iPhone’s flash to light up every time a notification is displayed. It can come handy in meetings when people put their phones face down on the top of the table. In order to use this feature, you need to go into Settings and then tap on General and Accessibility. Now switch on the LED flash for Alerts toggle switch to on. If you do not like to be disturbed when the phone is on silent mode, you can tell the flash not to light up then. However, using this feature could drain your battery faster than it normally does. According to David Payette from UpPhone, one reason your iPhone battery drains so fast is that any apps that allow push notifications are always running in the background. Turning off push notifications for any apps you don’t need them for will prolong your phone battery’s life. Hence, you can turn on the flash notification when you head to a meeting and then turn them off to save the battery.

  1. Bedtime

Your iPhone not only allows you to set an alarm to wake up on time but it will also ensure you go to bed on time. You need to open the clock app on the phone and then tap on the bedtime link at the bottom. Now you will have to set the time you want to be woken up in the morning and the number of days you want to wake up at that time. The iPhone will then inform you when it is bedtime and it will track how well you are doing with your sleep targets.

  1. Get the lost phone back

Even if you are not fond of the Apple Health app, you can use the Medical ID section. It has details like your contact information of your kin, allergies you have and this information will be shown on the lock screen when somebody taps on the emergency link. Hence, anyone who picks your device will have access to this information. If your phone gets lost, somebody who finds it can simply tap through to find a way and return it. You can also locate a device through the Find my iPhone feature which will allow you to track the phone on a map.

Use these features to make the most of your iPhone and to increase its efficiency for your daily use.
