5 Things to know about NEET Preparation

The reason being, to get an admission into medical college, you have to clear NEET.
NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is an entrance test conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for getting admissions into medical and dental courses all over India.
NEET exam is conducted in the month of July every year. But the application forms are out two months before.
All the institutes across the country accept the NEET UG score. However, for the NEET 2017 session, some of the institutes have been exempted and will conduct their own entrance exam. The institutes include JIPMER, Puducherry, Karaikal and 7 AIIMS institute across the country.
NEET 2017 application process will start in the month of December. Aspirants willing to apply for the exam must fill up the application form by following proper process.

NEET eligibility: Before jumping to the application form, make sure you are eligible for the exam. There is no point of applying for the exam if you haven’t cleared your 12th with an aggregate of 50% with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as subjects.
The exam has also fixed the age limit for its candidates with 17 being the minimum and 25 being the maximum. Candidate outside the age limit is not eligible for the exam.
NEET application process: After meeting the eligibility criteria, you are ready to fill up the application form.
All you have to do is just register yourself through official website, and fill up the application form for the exam by signing in.
Don’t forget to upload your passport size photo, signature and thumb impression. After doing this, make the payment of the application form. In this way, you are done with the application process and hence you can prepare for the exam now.
NEET exam pattern: Clearing the exam is not easy; it requires not only a lot of hard work but little bit of smart work too. It is very important to have an idea of the exam pattern before you start preparing.
It consists of a total of 180 objective type questions with 45 questions from each subject. Every correct answer fetches plus four and every wrong question means minus one.
You will be provided only three hours to attempt the question paper. So prepare likewise!
NEET results: Post exam, results are out in a month or two. The results are followed by the merit list.
NEET merit list forms the basis for the cut off list which is decided by the institutes individually accepting NEET score.
This is the time when you can apply in various colleges and universities for admission.
NEET counselling: After the cut off is released, aspirants meeting cut off are invited for the counselling. Candidates are handed over their seat allotment letter.
The seat is allotted purely on the basis of the choice filled by the candidate and merit score obtained by them. After the seat allotment, the process of document verification and fee submission at allotted institutes is carried out.
